It started with a wrong number.

Dana dialed the wrong extension at work in 2000. Marcus answered, kept her on the phone for forty minutes, and asked if she'd like to get coffee 'with the person she meant to call, too.' She said yes to just him. They married a year later in her parents' backyard under a borrowed tent.

We were never perfect. We just never stopped choosing each other.

Still choosing each other.

HOW THEY MET

One wrong number.

Forty minutes on the phone, one coffee, and the rest is history.

THEIR TRADITION

Pancakes every Saturday.

Twenty-five years, three kitchens, and the same cast-iron pan.

WHAT THEY'VE BUILT

A home people want to be in.

Two kids, countless holiday tables, and an open door for anyone who needs one.

FAVORITE MEMORY
Dancing in the driveway the night the power went out, with the car radio on and both kids pretending to be embarrassed.

Twenty-five years of moments.

FROM JORDAN & KAYLA
You showed us what it looks like to stay kind when things are hard. Happy 25th, Mom and Dad.
FROM MARCUS TO DANA
I still think it was the best wrong number anyone ever dialed.

Here's to the next twenty-five.

A long-promised trip to the Grand Canyon, more Saturday pancakes, and — if Biscuit allows it — a quieter house. Their kids will add new memories to this page every anniversary.
